FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my work is customized for the client. For restorations and scanning: Pricing is based on the size and condition of the originals and the final needs. *Condition considerations include: tears, fading, dirt, water damage, photos glued into albums, framing, etc. *Final needs: files only, reprints, create and album, etc. My minimum price is $30.00. Discounts: Additional same size prints of the same image printed for the same order are less than the price of the first print. Example: If the first print is $10.00, the second and third print would be $8.00 each. I maybe be able to reduce the price for scanning a large number of prints that are approximately the same size and in good condition.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the client and discuss what they would like to have done. I make recommendations based on the originals and how the client would like to use the final product. I can create solutions to customer needs and/ or work to client specifications. I prefer that the client comes to me, but I will travel up to twenty miles to consult. If I am asked to travel, there is a small fee to cover my time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Professional Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a certificate of training in Photographic Preservation and Archival Practice from George Eastman House (now George Eastman Museum).
