My pho­tog­ra­phy career began when I was eigh­teen years old when I moved 11,000 miles away from home to study in the United States. My cam­era and I wan­dered the streets of Rochester on week­ends tak­ing pho­tographs. I fell in love with the idea that pho­tog­ra­phy could allow me to delve deep into people's lives, my own life, and the world around me. The cam­era has empa­thy, curios­ity and mem­ory, expos­ing the eye to places where it wouldn't usu­ally go.
