Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have always believed that in order to learn a language, you should learn from someone who has also learned it---not a native speaker. As a non-native speaker of Spanish, I am able to break down difficult concepts that a native speaker can't always explain. Through my travels and experience I have developed a deep love for Spanish culture, and I can provide knowledge that not everyone can. My relatable nature and ability to cultivate relationships has served me well in my years working not only in the education field, but in several customer service arenas. I know how to make people feel both welcome and comfortable, and how to keep things light---all important to language learning, and learning in general! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a person's light bulb go off. When they are finally able to grasp a difficult concept that has been holding them back, they feel extremely empowered and excited about learning. To help make that possible is what drives me.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I offer translation services, both English and Spanish lessons, exam prep, and coaching on different communication styles, including oral and written. I have a meticulous eye for editing and details, which makes me better able to assist students in several subject areas.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

As part of CultureKids Club, I introduce the Spanish language to elementary students as an after school activity. I began working with the organization in 2011 in Buffalo while a student at Canisius College. I enjoyed it so much that I worked closely with the program's director to bring the program to Rochester. I am proud to say that it has caught on like wildfire, and there is a lot of enthusiasm for language learning to be found! For more information visit www.culturekidsclub.com
