Hi all! Thank you so much for considering me to take care of your baby, your puppy/kitty. I have over 15 years of experience with all types of dogs from Newborn to the grandparents. I have three dogs of my own, who are part of my family, and we will treat your dog as part of our family as well. Ultimately, we were not able to work together in caring for my brother's cats while he is in the hospital, because of a flea issue that cropped up in the house. There are challenges fixing the problem, and Lucky's Ark tried their best to assist in finding solutions. The care they gave during their single visit was excellent, but ultimately they chose to protect the well-being of their other clients and their own household by ending service. I respect that. They promptly refunded fees I paid for dates they would not be coming, and offered to return if and when the flea issue is resolved. All of our interactions were caring and professional.

Joanne and Kevin meticulously cared for my two cats while I was away for ten days. Henry, my diabetic cat needs insulin and his medication was administered accurately. We hired Joanna and from the first messages, I knew she was going to be someone I really loved working with. I was right! She has been so caring, thoughtful, and an amazing part of Porsha’s and our lives. She and I hit it off immediately- that was really an added bonus since she spent time at our place watching Porsha, and we connected and chatted during each sitting. Porsha spent the night at hers place several times, over several days- we trust her completely to provide Porsha the best care.
Porsha is prone to seizures, and she had one when Joanna happened to be there. Joanna sprang to action and helped in every way she could, and became a resource and support to us in dealing with those.
Joanna is so sweet and loving toward Porsha, taking her in as part of the family during stays. Porsha is sad to leave when Joanna drops her off, honestly. P quickly made friends with Joanna’s dog-babies, and Joanna sent us pictures and videos often.
I would add that, we had looked for walkers/sitters for Porsha and really didn’t feel happy until we found Care For Your Pup— Joanna deserves every glowing review!

Johanna did a excellent job with my 4 dogs. She spent time with them and played with them. In the beginning my Shepard gave her a hard time but she kept trying and she ended up a great friend to all my pups. Thank you for your hard work and dedication and I will be definitely be calling you again.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
We started Lucky's Ark Petcare Service to honor Lucky, our rescue dog, who started our own doggy family. We love our paw babies, and at times, it was difficult to find care for them when we went away, if family could not care for them. So we wanted to be that (trustworthy, responsible, and loving) family to care for other loving paw babies. We were already doing it for our family and friends and decided to extend it to new family and friends.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our clients are from all over NYC, Upstate, and Long Island (Nassua and Suffolk).We care for cat and doggies in all stages of life. We have experience with animals that need special attention or medication. We have also been able to work with bunnies, fishes, and also house sit and care for your plants.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Porsha, a doggy, we were caring for suffered from seizures and was blind. We took care of her at her place and ours; we were honored that we were there to provide support and love for her and ensure she was never alone and, of course, provided support to her family in the last few days. May she rest in peace. She will also be in our memory and heart.
