I evaluated numerous interior designers before deciding on Magi Designs, and it is with great pleasure that I am writing this testimonial. It is a company run by a highly professional and delightfully personable couple, who complement each other perfectly and are clearly passionate about their chosen career. In charge of all matters design-related, Mariama’s expert eye for style, color, materials and space has proved invaluable in the process of turning our new house into a classy, inviting and treasured home. Magi Designs has not only met my high expectations, but actually exceeded them. I was sold ever since my first consultation with them. A winning attitude and outstanding listening skills were coupled with Mariama’s uncanny ability to quickly identify our (mainly mine) tastes and styles, as well as effortlessly and creatively managing to incorporate existing pieces of furniture into an innovative design and layout. Throughout the process, I was given options, never pressured, merely gently guided in the direction of my desired look. Moreover, even my husband, who was initially opposed to involving professionals, was very pleasantly surprised upon realizing that his apprehension of designers creating an overly pricey space proved to be completely unfounded. In fact, we were both astounded at how very affordable this project turned out to be! This was significantly aided by the trade discounts we benefited from, as well as our team’s highly commendable diligence and efficiency. This project, so close to my heart, was perfectly executed from concept to end product, very timely and within budget. In summary, they have been a veritable joy to work with, and I intend to continue consulting their expertise. I cannot recommend them highly enough: knowledgeable, organized, detail-oriented, very honest, conscientious and truly caring-- to name but some of their qualities. I am glad I found Magi Design through thumbtack website based on all other excellent reviews. Both Mariama and Ravil from Magi Design are very personable and professional and they work very well together on helping us decorate our home. Their fees are reasonable and the they track their time and hours along the way. Mariama has a very good taste and is very particular on the look and qualities on all the items she selected and purchased. I was very impressed on the extent of effort she took when she was checking on all the light fixtures and furniture she selected and ordered. She would take the initiative and burden to return anything if she felt the quality is not 100% satisfaction and did not meet her expectation. The mood board she deigned for each room is beautiful and I can not wait for all the rooms to be done to see the final result. I recommend Magi Design to anybody who is out there looking for designers to decorate your home and make it beautiful. I will share my further reviews once our project is done and I am very satisfied with Magi design service so far.

Our pricing structure is flexible, depending on the clients' wishes. We typically charge hourly, and we always pass on our trade discounts on all furnishings to all our clients.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically start off with a brief phone conversation to introduce ourselves, get some details on the project, and set up a free initial consultation. We then like to meet at the space, meet the potential clients face to face, explain the entire process and what they can expect, and then more times than not, we're off and running!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Interior Design from The Art Center Design College in Seattle.
