I hired Bamm's to change my heating oil hydro forced air system as well as the water heater to the Air source heat pump and Hybrid heat pump water heater. His team installed 2 three ton cold climate ASHP with 2 Air handlers (Tosot T Unix, it is rebadged Gree flexx). Then replaced the water heater to Rheem 50G Hybrid Water heater. Got rid of the old oil furnace and water heater. Initially the proposal was $21k. As my project needed some additional electric wiring and I requested to file permits first, these cost extra. The total cost of the project was close to ~$25k (this included sales tax for the new equipment, electric wiring charges and filing charges). No ductwork needed. CT installers were either too expensive or didn't provide cold climate ASHP options. The project did take longer than expected. They installed the first heat pump in April end (takes about 1 day per equipment), the next one 15 days or so later and the water heater as well. Junk removal was scheduled 20 days later or so. But installers made sure we had heat and hot water except during actual installation. This is a constructive feedback I would give Rich, that is he needs to give better time estimate and needs some assistant who can do the paperwork. That is to say things like invoices, clear estimate breakdown. He needs to communicate the expectations clearly such as what is extra and what is included. This will go a long way. That's why I removed 1 star from the review. We initially thought old equipment removal included oil tank removal, which is not the case. As long as it was made clear in the project estimate it would have been better. Originally Rich was not part of the Energize CT installer network. Up on my request he registered on it as it is needed for CT residents to claim any rebates, which was nice. This was one of the main decision making criteria for the project for us, the other being price. Project came with 1 yr workmanship warranty and 10 yr parts warranty. It's been 5 months since the installation. However, Had one issue with the heat pump not producing enough heat, which was a result of adding low refrigerant level during installation, Rich sent his team member Matt, who diagnosed it and took care of it. So far all is well.

Details: Install new heating system • Remove old heating system • Heat Pump • Electricity • Basement • 3,000 - 4,000 sq ft • Two-story building • House

The Bait and switch $129.00 was initially maintainance price. They charged me $650. This company is the worst! Don't use them. They came to my house without ladder, filters . They placed a little freon. They were more worried about the cameras on my property than the work.

Details: Routine maintenance • Only warm air is blowing from the vents • Attic • Outside • House

They can send someone that actually knows what they’re doing and not high on drugs… After reading his response that “what I was asking for didn’t make sense “ further proves he is not a professional! I have been a carpenter for over 25 years and have worked with many different professions… I have built many houses and additions… I was simply asking for a flush mounted ceiling exhaust fan for my stove something not to hang down… You can look it up anywhere on the Internet if you’re not familiar… I have seen it installed in many houses, where they do not want to obstruct the view from the kitchen to the dining room… She was asking me questions that had nothing to do with the job… I already had power for him to hook up to showed him where to put it and also had a boot on the roof that was not being used where he can hook up the exhaust to … He said maybe eight words the whole entire time she was here… His face was red, and he had a smile from ear to ear, as though he was on another planet… I only gave him one star because that’s the least you can at least he showed up … Lol don’t waste your time with this company!

Details: Install ducts and vents • 1 - 5 vents • Exhaust (bathroom / kitchen) • I'd like to discuss with the professional • Single-level building • House

sorry but if you been a carpenter you should know that what your trying to do won't work if you want a hood for a stove you don not put a flush mount on a ceiling it won't do anything and will not work the way your asking plus never seen that vent in anyone's house ever you might as well put a bathroom vent on the ceiling even when you go to a show room the vent hoods all come down over stove learn your trade thanks and stop writing on my wall
