FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems specializing in Business from Stony Brook University with professional experience as a project manager. My degree gives me the edge to have the latest technology and ensure reliability when providing a service for my gigs. In addition, my experience as a project manager brings key organization skills and the ability to work under limited time, resources, budget, as well as managing and leading a team.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off deejaying family parties. I always loved music and I grew up around many deejays, which back then, they used vinyl records. After a few family parties for Christmas, New Years, and birthdays, family friends asked if they could hire me to deejey their events. I started doing my own radio show as a hobby, and again, I started receiving messages asking if I am available for bookings. It became obvious that I was pretty good at my hobby. I loved what I was doing, and so did many others. I decided to start taking it more seriously and began deejaying professionally.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I typically receive bookings for Weddings, Birthdays, Sweet 16s, and other private events, however, the bulk of my events are weddings and sweet 16s. I sometimes play in clubs and lounges, but I have a preference for private events, especially weddings.
