FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems specializing in Business from Stony Brook University with professional experience as a project manager. My degree gives me the edge to have the latest technology and ensure reliability when providing a service for my gigs. In addition, my experience as a project manager brings key organization skills and the ability to work under limited time, resources, budget, as well as managing and leading a team.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started off deejaying family parties. I always loved music and I grew up around many deejays, which back then, they used vinyl records. After a few family parties for Christmas, New Years, and birthdays, family friends asked if they could hire me to deejey their events. I started doing my own radio show as a hobby, and again, I started receiving messages asking if I am available for bookings. It became obvious that I was pretty good at my hobby. I loved what I was doing, and so did many others. I decided to start taking it more seriously and began deejaying professionally.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I typically receive bookings for Weddings, Birthdays, Sweet 16s, and other private events, however, the bulk of my events are weddings and sweet 16s. I sometimes play in clubs and lounges, but I have a preference for private events, especially weddings.
