I called Steve Caudle, owner of Cedar Mills Home Renovations, originally to fix some siding on my garage that was damaged. He came out promptly, gave me a reasonable estimate that we agreed on and, subject to weather conditions, scheduled a time window when he would do the repair. Subsequently, the winter worsened, we got 3 feet of snow, which caused a delay in the siding repair. As the winter began to thaw I experienced major ice damming on the roof over my living room which caused an inside leak and water damage to my drywall. Since this was an emergency situation Steve took on this unscheduled job right away. He literally had to rebuild my entire inside living room wall down to the studs. While this repair was happening I also hired them for some other projects, such as replacing floor tiles, replacing and re-piping a basement sump pump, redoing skylight seals and flashing, and a few other projects. All the work was done at reasonable cost. Once the weather improved Cedar Mills fixed the siding over my garage, which was the original scope of work. To make a long story short, Steve and the Cedar Mills team did an absolutely spectacular job. Completely courteous and professional at all times, and the quality of their workmanship was hands down some of the best I have ever seen from a home remodeling and repair contractor in the Rochester area. Cedar Mills gets the highest possible rating from me. I will definitely hire Steve and his team in the future! If you are looking for a professional, smart, honest, skilled and motivated team for home remodeling in the Rochester, NY area, that is also great value for the cost, Cedar Mills is a great choice. We ended up passing on Steve for Hresent Homes, and boy was that a big mistake!!! We invited Steve back for a header and footer, and he was amazing. He handled getting an architect for proper drawings for our town, and handled the permit with the town. The header and footer went in within 2 days the entire room was left spotless. Steve took care of bagging all the garbage and took it off our property without being asked. We event got a hand written Christmas card from him!! Our family has been renovating our home for over a year and this is the first contractor that has done a great job, and we've already warned him that he's going to be the only one we will use from now on.
