First Reader Consulting
About this pro
My demeanor is warm and non-judgmental, which makes a one-on-one session with me a pleasant experience. The finished product will reflect your hard work and passion, without typos. You'll learn not only better ways to express your thoughts but you'll learn why - without intimidation. You'll find that working with an experienced editor is much more interesting and rewarding than you expected! Note: I do not do grant applications, resumes, or ghostwriting. Please have a final draft manuscript to send me rather than a vague and incomplete idea for a project. Thank you. I meet fascinating people with the chutzpah to follow their dream of writing, and that is very rewarding to me.

I am so happy to work with Barbara. She helped for the proofreading on Japanese noodles recipe book. Quick response, reasonable fee and excellent works. She is the person you can trust. ★★★★★Dec 25, 2014Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Total project pricing can be flexible depending on the level of services required. Basic proofreading of a manuscript under 400 pages is $.15 per page. One-hour consultation is $50, and can occur at the beginning or at the end of the project or both. Full editing service is $1.00 per page up to 400 pages and $.50 page after that. But we can work with a budget, if necessary.
