First of all, I enjoy working with children! I LOVE painting colorful, sparkly art on kids of all ages (you, too, adults!) for any type of party or event year-round. I love creating my own designs, as well as the standard favorites, both small designs and full faces, with a trained artistic flair. With over 24 years' experience, I can paint up to 30 small cheek/arm designs in an hour or up to 17 full faces in an hour; or a combination of the two types, of course.
I have also studied and taught fine art since 1999. So, whether I am painting your child's face, or doing a "masterpiece" in watercolor or graphite, or lettering documents in calligraphy, or designing a whimsical wall mural; I bring all of my acquired experience with composition, color, light and shadow, textures, and attention to detail to whatever I am doing.

The calligraphy for my daughter's wedding invitations is beautiful. Sheila completed the job quickly and with no errors! The list included some very long names and complicated spellings. Sheila is wonderful to work with and did not get ruffled with our last minute additions and changes to the guest list and addresses. We are very pleased.

Sheila did a great job. Fun working together putting/placing together the words I wanted surrounding my artwork. And she did it the day I found her- very prompt. The only thing I forgot to do was sign it.

Sheila did an AMAZING job for us! She painted a full wall mural. We met with her a few times to create the design, and the results are beautiful!! Sheila was so easy to work with, listened to our ideas and created an extraordinary piece of art. The service was phenomenal! Sheila was on time, came prepared, and fulfilled all of our expectations. She added great enjoyment to the halloween program, and was able to complete any design. Sheila worked very well with college aged students and was able to accomplish every face paint design in a quick manner! Would definitely recommend her for any type of event (This event was large scale around 170 people attended).

Love Sheila!! She did a great job and got through all the kids and had time to have some adults get there face painted.. Beautiful art work and very sweet and nice and a pleasure to have at the party!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I start at $85/hour for the 7-mile radius around my home. When I have to travel further, I tack on another $5/hour or more, depending on the distance and extra travel time. NOTE: I can paint up to 30 small cheek/arm designs in an hour or 17-20 full faces in an hour, depending on what your guests choose.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am happy to answer any and all questions and send references and invoices if requested.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am frequently attending art workshops and reading Art magazines and books for new ideas and insights. Plus I am a long-time member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society (NFWS), which meets monthly in Amherst, NY and has two shows per year.
