FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always try to be reasonable and competitive with all proposals and if there is a way to save I will let it be known. I always attempt to find saving on material and use multiple suppliers to achieve that.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have occupational safety and health training for both workers and supervisors! Safety always comes first! I also have a two year residential construction and building trades degree. I am a qualified rigger, certified scaffolding erector, certified boom lift operator, certified welder and considered a competent person by OSHA to oversee safety and training also upheld by the IAOIW. I am also trained to read architectural drawings!!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved working with my hands at a young age and it inspired me to complete a 2 yr degree in construction and building trades before graduating high school. At age 18 I didn’t go to the office but I built it along with my first career as a union iron worker for local 60 of Syracuse and still hold my membership 12 years strong. After lots of hard work in the Ironwork field helping build the SU Dome and multiple buildings on Cornell campus I decided there be no one better to invest in but myself. So that welcomes White’s Building and remodeling!
