Working out with Max is so much fun that it's like working out with your buddy that you haven't seen in a while. Not only he's well versed in body mechanics and science behind workout, he's also really friendly and knows that working out is not just about your physical health but also your mental health. He keeps a track of your progress and is prepared to make changes based on your needs, if need be. I have never regularly worked out in my life until I started training with Max. Training with him made me realize that exercise doesn't have to be intimidating/frustrating because if you do it right you can see/feel the progress, and It's not an enigma, which many people think it to be. I trained with him for about 6months and would have trained longer but I had to move. Through my training with him, I was able to gain adequate body mass, which was my aim. Training with him was so much fun/influential that I have continued working out by myself, under his continued guidance (to reiterate: I have never worked out by myself in my life until I trained with Max). I would highly recommend him to everybody on this planet, as you will not only find a well-versed professional trainer in him but also a good human and a friend. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have a variety of training packages available, ranging from $60 a session to $180 a month. What we do during out consultation is figure out which training option best suits your needs, your budget, and the time constraints we are working with. You are not just paying for your 1 hour with me 2 or 3 times a week. You are paying for a nutrition coach (I'm a certified nutritionist), a fitness planner, as I will design the workouts for you to do on your own, and a teacher, as I will explain why we are doing everything we do along the way!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?When I start with a new client, I take them through a free consultation where we sit down and go over everything we need to go over. We talk about their goals, what they are looking to accomplish, how I can get them there, and their past experiences working out alone or with a previous trainer. We get to know each other and I go through the types of stuff we would be doing, and why it is important. Our first session is assessment based, where I take people through different movement screening processes to see how they move, what areas are weak or move incorrectly, and test to make sure we can safely perform all the movements their program will encompass!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?The gold standard of training certifications is the CSCS through the NSCA (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association). I earned my CSCS in June of 2014. I also have my group exercise certification through the AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America) and my Nutritionist Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am a 4x state record setting power lifter, and have 7 years of experience training people, working in fitness centers, private fitness studios, training studios, group ex studios, and wellness clinics.
