Ruthayn helped me to plan a surprise birthday for my boyfriend and it was absolutely incredible! I found her through a quick search of virtual assistants and she immediately stood out to me as the most qualified candidate. She and I setup a phone call to discuss my needs, vision, ideas and budget for the party. Within 24 hours Ruthayn sent me a proposal listing a variety of color themes, table & linen ideas, food & drink menus and all of these included pricing! It was very easy to read and understand, and definitely made the planning process seamless! She helped me to narrow down my list and by the end of the week we had a clear vision of how we were going to execute the party. Ruthayn was a great liaison between myself and the vendors and ensured that all rentals were delivered on time. She helped to coordinate the caterer and made sure they were familiar with the way my kitchen was setup so they were fully prepared! A few days before the party we saw that the weather, unfortunately, would be against us and we had to come up with some last minute ideas. Ruthayn got in touch with a great tent company and florist (at the last minute!) and made sure that we had a clear-top tent and that the florist would bring tons of lighting and vinyl structures to hang within (see some pictures below!). The party was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend Ruthayn to anyone who is looking for virtual assistance. She was extremely creative, knowledgeable and price conscious according to the specs I gave her. Thank you for all of your help!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge hourly for my work, unless there is a project and we can work out a flat fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a videoconference call with my new clients. This allows us to meet and discuss the task they need to have completed, and it will also allow me to ask questions, if needed, to better understand exactly what's required of me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a court reporter for 16 years. I am a very fast typist with impeccable communication and grammatical skills. I have a degree in marketing, I'm a licensed court stenographer, I have a certification in event planning, as well as being a Notary Public.
