Olivia is amazing!! As a beginning level student, she's helped me improve my confidence in my voice. She's great at explaining vocal technique and giving precise feedback in a way that makes sense to me. She puts my personal goals first and is a joy to work with! Singing Lessons (for adults)
Olivia is an excellent teacher and a wonderful person! She's very passionate about singing, teaching, and helping her students succeed. Aside from the technical skills, she's taught me a lot about how to tell a story with your voice, how to put emotions to a song without sacrificing your voice control. We're seeing improvements after every class!Jul 5, 2017Verified

Olivia is an outstandingly well-rounded, intelligent, professional person who I'm thrilled to be able to take voice lessons with. She understands an individual's voice unlike anyone I've ever seen before, and exhibits great care in nurturing it. She is helpful in a multitude of facets, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.Sep 28, 2015

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet a new student for a trial lesson first. We work through a piece of music and find out what the students needs are, and what their goals are. Then I like to talk through a plan of action for us, whether that student wants help putting a recital together, whether they have a chorus they sing with and need a technical "game-plan" to get through a concert, or whether they love singing and just want to learn to sing for fun! Many of my students are preparing for college auditions, in which case we focus on that. Some are performing with amateur theaters in Queens and need help preparing their music. Others are choir members that need help learning notes. Whatever the case, I design a curriculum of sorts so that during our time together, we can accomplish the student's objectives and have fun!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a high school diploma from LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts with a specialization in Voice Performance. I also have a Bachelors of Music from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Music from Mannes College the New School for Music for Voice Performance. I have also been a young artist in the VISI Songfire Institute in Vancouver Canada, the AIMS Festival in Graz Austria, the Westchester Arts Festival, the International Vocal Arts Institute and the VOICExperience Program in Savannah Georgia.
