FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do my best to quote work by the job itself, and not by the hour. For smaller jobs however, I charge $60.00 for the first hour of work, and $36.00 for each consecutive hour, in 1/4 hour increments. All quotes are free and always include up to one hour on site for initial consultations to get to know you, your style and your needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love learning new things and new processes. I am involved in several contracting discussion forums online where we exchange ideas and recommend new products to each other. I meet with my suppliers frequently and am always eager to hear more about new ways to improve the goods and services I offer. I am also involved in the local Chamber of Commerce group that specializes in improving contracting to help benefit both the businesses and the consumers.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
There are no "common" jobs for me. In the last month or so I've built a deck, installed washer and dryer hookups in a basement, diagnosed and repaired a bathroom water leak, updated electrical in a laundry room, replaced faucets, installed new exterior doors and windows, leveled a floor, installed door hardware and installed a new hardwood floor in a closet, to name a few!
