Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I work closely with my clients to make sure I give them what they want and need, not something that will win me an award. I don't pretend to be a design god who knows everything about design. I listen to their problems, suggestions and ideas, and work with them to create and effective piece. It's always nice to see something you've created in a tangible format, whether a sign, a billboard or a brochure.

We are completely satisfied with the work and service we received from Don at Design Associates in completing our logo for Majestic Reels, LLC. Don was a pleasure to work with and he completed whatever we wanted done and gave us a very fair price for the work he provided. We will definitely work with Don again on upcoming projects we will have. Thank you Don!!

In one case, I asked Don to "brush up" one of my ideas I created in a word processor doc. He nailed it, it is now my company's logo, and he went on to create the master art for our whole set of stationery. In another case, I brainstormed early with Don, about a problem I perceived in communicating what I do. He totally got it, came up with something amazing, and I use it regularly today as a bedrock piece of my marketing materials. Don is easy to work with, not expensive at all, and very responsive. The best way to work with him is start your thinking EARLY. He's much more than a guy who can just draw or do other art things. He can write, he can think. USE HIM. I recommend him to all my entrepreneur friends.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common types of jobs are logo design, brochures, advertising and direct mail. I've also done posters, invitations, trade show displays, banners, and pretty much anything that's printed.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently did a 16 page brochure for the nationally known pianist Jim Brickman, This brochure will be sold at his concerts. It features a behind-the-scenes look at all his albums to date. It was fun working with Jim and his staff on the project, and I was even given a prominent credit line on the back of the publication, which is rare.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It's harder than it looks. It takes special skills to be a designer, and most of these skills come with training as well as years of experience. Sure, anyone can put together a logo or a brochure or an ad. But will it be effective? Will it put your company in a positive light? Will if sell? If not, it doesn't matter how little you paid for it. It's worthless.
