FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs are logo design, brochures, advertising and direct mail. I've also done posters, invitations, trade show displays, banners, and pretty much anything that's printed.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently did a 16 page brochure for the nationally known pianist Jim Brickman, This brochure will be sold at his concerts. It features a behind-the-scenes look at all his albums to date. It was fun working with Jim and his staff on the project, and I was even given a prominent credit line on the back of the publication, which is rare.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It's harder than it looks. It takes special skills to be a designer, and most of these skills come with training as well as years of experience. Sure, anyone can put together a logo or a brochure or an ad. But will it be effective? Will it put your company in a positive light? Will if sell? If not, it doesn't matter how little you paid for it. It's worthless.
