Vincent Rochefort Photography

Hello I am a freelance French photographer based in Cincinnati. I just moved from NYC where I spent 2 years. Photography has always been a part of my life since I started as a kid with my mother’s old camera, and I haven’t been able to stop since. I decided to attend a cinematography school to improve my knowledge of lighting and framing, but also to learn complementary skills like editing and sound. After receiving my MA from Institut International de l’Image et du Son, I start working as a gaffer in short movies, video clips, and commercials. After a few years I started operating cameras as well. But during those seven years of film work, I never stopped taking pictures and my love for lighting work continued to grow inside me. Shooting video was really interesting but something was missing for me..... What makes photography so intense and sets it apart is the frozen aspect of time in the shot, a second stopped for eternity. The emotion can be so intense when you are there at the right moment, and that is what I love about photography, chasing that perfect moment. Besides that, I’m a happily married guy from Paris who moved to NYC a few months ago to get married and live with my wife. I am passionate about sports, games, cinema and music.
