We were very pleased with John Hall Construction. After other referrals wouldn't take the time to call me back, I went to Thumbtack and got an immediate response from John Hall. Maybe some of these other businesses didn't want to bother because my project was not big enough. Well, now some of my neighbors are talking to John Hall about their bigger construction projects, not to mention the future referrals they will get from me (and my neighbors who will likely use them for their projects). Same thing happened to me at the Sharonville Home show and a recent on-line request I made for another type of work. Project not that big so they don't even bother to call. When I do need a bigger project I won't be calling on these companies who can't even pick up the phone to let you know they have a minimum size for projects (or whatever their reason may be). Sometimes smaller projects can lead to bigger ones or overall more business due to referrals. I not only have a good concrete company to refer and I have some that I will never call due to their unresponsiveness. (the unresponsive ones were referrals from others, not Thumbtack)
