One of my favorite things about Billustration is how versatile they are! You can show him any style and he can produce something!Nov 17, 2017
There is little on this planet that I enjoy more than having Bill at the studio. He is creative, dedicated, a quick study, and most importantly likable. Do yourself and your project a favor you just might be able to go home on time. My only negative is that his laugh is too damn infectious...really.Nov 14, 2017
Love working with Bill. I highly recommend himNov 14, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Traditional Media I charge by the square foot + a design charge (225$ with two design changes, 100$ for each additional change): /PAINTINGS are 45$ a square foot, with the first 2 being free after the design/contruction charge. /MURALS are 17 $ a square foot and my minimum size is 140 sq feet (14 x10) (under 140 square feet, you should buy a large painting) /DRY MEDIA (pencil, charcoal, etc.) is the design price, and the first 6 square feet are free. After that it's 25$ a square foot. ///DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION: I charge 120$ per half day, which usually covers a major element (character, or background, etc.) And I give 2 edits for free. /For ANIMATIONS: half day, per environment, a day per character, and a day per minute of animation. But, if the wind is at our backs and things go super quick I'm happy to discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. I gather up all the information my client has about the project and we establish goals. 2. In the discovery stage I design, sketch, collect references and inspirations, or style frames and have them reviewed by the client. 3. From there we refine based on what the client likes and dislikes, and I move on to creating the rendered work. 4. I keep my client in the loop with steady updates, and complete the rendering.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?BA in Liberal Arts/ Fine Arts Concentration from Union Institute in Cincinnati Ohio.
