- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is not enough time in the day to explain x-actimate which is the software the insurance companies use, it is difficult to use and understand our bottom line is to install the best roofing system or whatever we are doing if it is an insurance claim then we will sit down explain everything fully and then give you a bottom line number with a exact depiction of what we will be installing..... homeowners want to know all the details which is why we spend the time to articulate and show visually every aspect of the process from insurance claims to delivery of product to day of tear off and installation. Non Insurance claims and worked scheduled will again be explained thoroughly and all questions answered prior to the first person showing up to start work
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutley all of our roofers are certified for the specific manufacturer Each one of our team leaders must finish continung education for the brands they work on you cannot be a team leader without it all of our sales men must be familiar with the brands and their respective warranties so that at the POS the answers are their for the consumer to assimilate. You just can not make a good decision unless you have all of the answers to the question one might have. Trust me with so many different products and so many different facets of jobs it is difficult to answer all of the questions which leads us to our 1 priority if you do not know the answer do not answer the question make a note and schedule a time to get back with the consumer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I left the Real Estate field and could not a better position than delivering a better job than anyone could deliver in this field. I was a REO Specialist and sold many homes to investors and handy men and women and always found proper planning was as much a key to success as the actual purchase. Now playing a key role in damaging claims allows me to alleviate the stress and nervousness of a client and solve the problem the first time the right way and become part of the clients family of trusted contractors. we are not here just for the one storm we are here for life. It also allows me to mold and shape men and women of less advantaged work skills and show them a path to a successful living with promotions to sales force and administrative positions so that they also can look forward to a retirement that they earned.
