FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually start with a retainer, against which I bill from the beginning. After 6 months or so, if the retainer runs out, I average the monthly charges and ask the client to pay that amount monthly, until concluded.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet with the client initially so we can get a feel for each other. I ask for all of the information I may need right up front, so he or she can have a bit of time to get everything together. I need proof of everything alleged before we can begin, in case of litigation. In my over 20 years of practice, I find it's best this way. See ya!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Of course, we have to go to law school for three (3) years; then, we are required to take 12 hours of continuing education annually; I usually take more hours than are required. Plus, we do legal research on an ongoing basis.
