The ad said that an estimate of $69 would be charged and put towards the balance if hired. On the phone, the lady said it would cost $129 for the job, no matter how many vents. I said okay, of course. The thumbtack range for this job was up to $545, this company wanted over $800 originally. We settled on $675. They wanted to collect $202 up front and to pay online with an added $7.95 for using my credit card. I paid by check. The guy that came out was friendly and did a good job.
