FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to keep a "price range" in mind instead, that way I can stay flexible for clients needs AND remain fair for myself - to create appropriate work/pay balance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A first conversation via email or phone is usually started to establish project details and prices for suggested work. I usually require an initial down payment and signed contract before work begins to ensure all parties are invested in creating the work. From then I meet to complete our shoot and will correspond pre-edited works/finals via online methods until work is complete!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (2008) with a Bachelors in Video Game Art & Design. Which is a fancy way of saying "I am trained in the production of creating visual concepts/art." What this means for my clients is that I'm likely more artistically qualified and experienced than mostly anyone you will meet. I've studied everything from graphic design, typography, traditional hand drawn animation, 3D animation and (modeling/building), compositional lighting, painting, sculpting, high level still life drawing, even classic FILM PHOTOGRAPHY (which I no longer use).
