Samantha is available to teach flute to all ages online and in person at her home studio in Columbus, Ohio. Samantha is a 2018 graduate of Troy University with a bachelor's degree in music education. Samantha has also completed graduate coursework in education at Adams State University and is currently pursuing a master's in flute performance at The Ohio State University. Since beginning as a flute teacher in 2012, Samantha has had students win positions in all-state bands, district bands, win auditions, and receive high marks at solo and ensemble festivals. Currently, Samantha teaches a thriving private flute studio and freelances in the Columbus area. Samantha performs solo, substitutes with local orchestras, and performs with Mario Kart Band - a video game based concert experience. Samantha holds a PK-12 music teaching certificate in Alabama, Ohio, and Virginia. Samantha is also holds a certificate by the National Virtual Teacher's Association.

Very kind, caring, and does a great job with my 5 year old to get her excited about music and flute. Detail oriented when it comes to planning lesson with age group and connects great with kids. After she left our home my daughter did not want to put her flute down and wanted to practice practice practice to show what she has accomplished in the week. Such a joy and pleasure and glad she has facilitated not only lessons of flute but love of music for my 5 year old.

She was amazing. I only had one lesson and I was soooo nervous. She made me feel extremely comfortable and encouraged me to. She’s very patient and down to earth. I can’t to see what she what her magic does for me!!!!!!!!!

My daughter is a complete beginner and had her very first flute lesson. The teacher was very patient, kind, and encouraging, which made my daughter feel comfortable and excited to learn. We really appreciated how she explained things clearly and gave us helpful practice tips. It was a wonderful start!

My daughter really enjoyed being able to do a flute lesson virtually. We've only had one lesson, but virtually took some of the in person pressure off. Samantha was able to help my daughter learn better finger posture, fingerings and so much more, even with just 1 lesson!
