You may need notarization for legal purposes, or unexpected circumstances. Keep in mind that proactively getting a document notarized can protect your interests in settings before the need arises—particularly when traveling abroad, or health changes like a hospitalization or new diagnosis occur. Big changes in your residence or family structure may mean that you need someone to make important decisions for you. See the most common scenarios in which a Notary Public appointed by the Ohio Secretary of State is required: [MEDICAL EMERGENCIES & HEALTHCARE TRANSITIONS] Health scares are stressful enough. I bring timely services with compassion and understanding in difficult transitions. Some of these can be proactive to alleviate the difficulty for those that care about helping you heal, while honoring your wishes and values. •MEDICAL POWER OF ATTORNEY (POA): Empower a trusted individual or loved ones to make healthcare decisions on your behalf. •LIVING WILLS & ADVANCED DIRECTIVES: Establish end-of-life care preferences that are legally sound •HIPAA WAIVERS & RELEASES OF INFORMATION: Streamline and fast-track your care by permitting another person or entity to access records that are protected under strict federal guidelines. [REAL ESTATE & PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS] High value deals often have strict deadlines, and a single missing signature amongst a pile of documents can halt a home closing or a car deal. I make sure you don't face last minute hurdles with precision and attention to detail, and mindfulness of family changes. •VEHICLE & TRANSPORTATION SALES: In our state, selling a car privately requires the presence of a notary. I certify title transfers to ensure your transactions are recognized by the state. •MORTGAGE CLOSING DOCUMENTS: Expedite your closings as soon as possible, whether you are an individual buyer or seller. I serve title agencies as well as FSBO transactions. •PROPERTY DEEDS: Transfer your ownership of land or buildings. •QUITCLAIM DEEDS: Transfer a deed or clear up title errors. The need for a Quitclaim deeds pops up often in marital dissolution, legal separations, or family property transfers. [TIME-SENSITIVE & CHALLENGING LEGAL MATTERS] Meeting you on-site and on-call availability is the premium advantage I provide. Prevent legal issues with banking while you go abroad by establishing help back home. Traveling with minors within the US and/or internationally often requires a notarized permission- check with your airline or travel agent to prevent missing your flight or cruise, but be sure that I will get to you as soon as possible! •POWER OF ATTORNEY (POA): Establish who is able to handle financial or legal affairs. I meet you urgently and on-site. Many times the need for a notarized POA arises in healthcare facilities. •AFFIDAVITS & SWORN STATEMENTS: I certify witness to declarations used as evidence in court or other legal proceedings. •JAIL/INCARCERATION VISITS : Individuals held in custody have rights that don't disappear, and life outside goes on. I recognize the value of every person, and notarize documents with timeliness and respect to facility rules. Individuals serving time often need to give POA (Power of Attorney) to a trusted individual. Those who are in custody often urgently need to appoint a person to manage finances or childcare. •MINOR TRAVEL CONSENT: If a child is traveling with only one parent or a guardian, many airlines and countries require a notarized "Consent to Travel" form. I'll make sure you don't delay a flight for this unexpected or urgent need! [BUSINESS & EMPLOYMENT] •ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION: Officially start your new LLC or business entity •COMMERCIAL LEASES: Some leases need to be notarized depending on local and State regulations. Whether you're a small business trying out your first space, or an office relocating, •EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS: Make sure your work date isnt pushed back! Remote employees, high-level executives, jobs accessing company funds, or contractors often need notarization prior to employment, or when you switch jobs.
