Dealing with Joseph for the initial project review and estimate was a pleasure. He provided clear explanations of work to be done and gave a couple options. The work is scheduled to be done in 2 days which is fantastic.

We hired Patchmaster to repair our ceiling and match the texture. They showed up in time and were very professional with their communication. They cleaned up after they were done and our ceiling looks great! Even with our texture pattern, they matched it beautifully. They are a quality company that goes the extra mile and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I have dealt with many contractors in my years in real estate business but this one was laughable and due to the unprofessional nature. Contacted him for a second job after he did my first. I decided not give him the 2nd job as I found another person who I preferred to work with. Joseph went all out saying I’m not loyal because I did not give him the job and stating I’m looking for lowest price possible lol! Sir, I don’t need advise! This was purely business and it never worked out period!

Details: Home • Just touch ups • Walls • Trim • Ceiling • Doors • Window frames • 8 - 10 feet (standard ceiling) • Repainting, with same color • Repainting, with a color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • Homeowner or property manager • No, this is not new construction • Yes, I would like the painter to help move things

Beware contractors!!! Do not take a job from Dora G on thumbtack. She hired us to prep walls and paint some rooms. We completed the project and she loved it. Then she reached out to me again to say that she wanted her front door primed and painted, she wanted the trim and the threshold replaced and any rotted wood, she wanted a new door handle and lock, and she wanted a new screen door and assembly. I gave her a quote that she said was too expensive. Then I asked what was in her budget. She said $1000 plus I buy all materials. I told her that all the materials for this job cost more than $1000. I offered to do it for $1000, which was substantial lower than my original quote if she provided some material. I would provide the primer and paint. She thought that was great and agreed to the price. We were supposed to start last Wednesday, but she didn’t buy any materials, then she said we can start Thursday, but again, she never bought the door or the wood or handle or lock and she wouldn’t tell me what color paint she wanted. I was about to text her today and see if the materials were there when she sent me a message that said, “sorry, we found another contractor.” This is AFTER she agreed to do the job with us for $1000 and AFTER we scheduled her and she negotiated this low price. She led us on to think that we would start as soon as she got the materials, and then she got another quote from someone AFTER we had an agreement, and she has the nerve to say that WE are acting unprofessional? This woman has no loyalty or any regard for agreements she makes and is only interested in getting the lowest price. We tried to help her out by reducing our costs, which we never do, and she still stabbed us in the back to hire another lowest priced contract with a shovel and a truck. Stay far away from this person: she breaks agreements and doesn’t think it’s a big deal. She doesn’t care about quality, she only cares about the lowest price.

Joe will rip you off as soon as he gets the chance. Please be aware he will take advantage.

Details: Home • 1 room • Walls • Doors • 10 - 14 feet (high ceiling) • Repainting, with same color • Excellent - clean and smooth • The painter • No, this is not new construction • No, I will move things out of the way myself

Patchmaster's reply
Theo is mad because we quoted a price that he deemed was too high. We didn’t even do the work for him. He cannot comment on the results of this project, because he never hired us for this project. He is just mad that the quote was too high. Normally, if I customer thinks a quote we provide is too high, they say no thank you, and hire someone else. Not Theo though, he wrote a negative review based a high quote, I guess there is a first for everything.
