FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not complicated. I was advised early on by my CPA mentor to charge by the hour not the project because you never know what you are getting into when you start digging. I have a base rate for filing personal and business income tax returns. Any accounting or administrative work fees are extra and billed by the hour. I treat your business like it is mine. I am a part of your team. Willing to help whenever needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with them and try to find out how they have been handling things up to now. I ask a lot of questions about what they want and what they have tried. Then we develop a plan that works for them. We then discuss my plan and come up with a final plan of action. No canned packages. Everything customized to the client, their experience and their business. If only personal taxes, them I do my best to advise them on how to get the best return. I dig for deductions. I ask a lot of questions in all situations. Be it personal or business. Every client is unique.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently took refresher course in Income Tax Preparation to be up to date on all current tax laws. Now I have the books with me to be prepared when something unusual may come up. I also stay on top of all Quickbooks updates so I can recommend the correct software to my clients.
