FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We attempt to settle all divorce cases. We begin with a free consultation with Kristine Rice, our domestic attorney, about your situation. Then she drafts some detailed documents to send to the other party which propose to settle the matter as you would like. If the other party signs them & sends them back (we will need a good address for them), then we will have a private, relaxed final hearing with a Judge in our offices in Grove City. We charge $750 to retain, and then $750 at the final hearing ($625 for each half of retainer if no children involved). This amount includes all filing fees and the fees for the private Judge. If everything is agreed upon, our firm moves quickly to finalize your divorce. Once your case has been filed, we get the first hearing date available (Ohio law requires we set your divorce for final hearing no earlier than 42 days after filing). If we find the matter is truly contested, then we would ask for a retainer fee of $2,500 & bill $225 hourly for our services.
