The notary collects basic information from the client, including their name, contact details, and the type of documents requiring notarization.The notary may also inquire about the preferred location, date, and time for the appointment. Scheduling the Appointment: Once the client agrees to proceed, the notary and client work together to schedule a convenient appointment. The notary confirms the date, time, and location of the appointment with the client. Preparation of Documents: The client gathers all necessary documents and ensures they are properly completed and signed, leaving any spaces for notarization blank. Verification of Identity: At the appointment, the notary verifies the identity of the client and any other signatories involved in the notarization. The notary checks government-issued photo identification to confirm identity. Notarization Process: The notary performs the required notarization procedures according to state laws and regulations.This may include administering oaths or affirmations, verifying signatures, and attaching the notarial certificate to the document. Completion of Notarization: Once the notarization is complete, the notary provides the client with copies of the notarized documents and any other relevant paperwork.
