- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, Custom Backdrops, Planning, Centerpieces, linens and everything else, have a starting pricing. However do to each persons own ideas/needs we save the actual until we meet and I know exactly what they need & want that fits in their budget. I'm not going to give you the deluxe package quote if you can only afford the standard. (these are not real package names, just an example).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do not quote over the phone or via email. I like to meet with each person and give them a quote for what they need. May prices are the best for my skill and expertise. If you are looking for cheap tull decor, Simply Yours isn't for you. We use high end quality materials, we set up for you and tear down.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate from RWU, Bristol, RI with the study of Performing Arts and Business. I have always been part of the hospitality industry my whole life. It was when I stepped away from it, that I realized it was where I needed to be. I went to work at hotels, learning everything I could about the catering/banquet world. Planning family and friends weddings or events, that is what made me love weddings. I am always looking to better myself. So I went to Penn University to become a wedding planner. At Kalahari I was their Social Sales Manager in charge of all "social" events, while starting my own business in Ohio. Last year I decided that I want to offer my brides more. I went back to show and now I am an Accredited Event Designer and I am going back to school this winter to earn my Masters.
