FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an avid reader of wedding blogs and Mobile Beat (the professional Mobile Entertainer's magazine). I'm also a member of Bridal Elite, a group of roughly 20 members of the wedding industry in St. Louis. Only 1 member is allowed per profession (1 Disc Jockey, 1 Bridal Shop, 1 Photographer, 1 Photo Booth, etc.) and we have a monthly meeting where we discuss all things wedding related. I learn a lot from the other members of this group as we have the combined experience of over 11,000 weddings.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been a drummer since I was 10 years old and I come from a long line of musicians. I have been in many bands and grew tired of having to rely on unreliable people for my success in the music business. As a disc jockey I only have to rely on myself and so I pursued this side of the music business. I also absolutely love the emotions involved with a wedding. I still get emotional from time to time when the bride dances with her father. I also receive such gratification when I am considered part of the family by the end of the evening. I always work for the bride and groom's appreciation at the end of the night.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I entertain 80% weddings, the other 20% is comprised of College dances, karaoke, children's parties, day care events, birthday parties, class reunions, Christmas parties, and corporate events.
