Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My teaching is goal oriented in multiple ways. I not only work toward bringing out the best in my clients' musical skills, but in the way that they approach music. The fulfillment comes from an overall inside-out view which is communicated through the musician, not merely the ability to connect notes on a page to an instrument. I love the journey with people from learning how to play, sing, create all the way to the end product which is beautiful musical communication of the original thought. The interaction of learning together and then seeing that learning go into action without my help is very gratifying.

Mr. Howarth has been training my 14 year old son in guitar, in addition to teaching him music theory and music composition. Not only has my son been encouraged by Mr. Howarth, but he has motivated my son to practice on his own! Now, that is a gifted teacher!

I personally have had zero instrumental music lessons from Scott; however, my brother has and I have had many vocal lessons. The price is at a good rate and the quality of his teaching is above and beyond the standard music teacher. He is very clear in his speaking and very easy going if something needs to be rescheduled.

My daughter has been taking saxaphone lessons from Scott this past year. She loves to go to the lessons as Scott mixes things up to keep it encouraging. Works very well with children and keeps me informed of how things are progressing.

Amazing teacher always willing to help you to succeed and never to give up due to the complexity of music. Scott was able to help me understand music by not only showing me to also by helping me undstand it in layman terms by doing this I could Definitely see that he loves what he does and has a great attitude and shows a lot of passion towards music.

Scott is absolutely top notch. Our son has been learning guitar with Scott and has also taken one of A-Sharp's music classes. Scott is well organized, extremely patient with kids, and is highly motivating. As a result, we are thrilled at our son's rapidly growing skill and enthusiasm for music.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that you ask enough questions and very specific questions to get the answers you need in order to be able to get the result that you intend. If an answer seems too vague, probe further and don't hold back. You may discover that you want to invest more than you'd originally intended in terms of time and learning.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I would like customers to understand the variety of offerings available from me. My training and experience is quite wide and encompasses areas beyond teaching only music to speaking, writing and teaching in areas of children and youth, parenting, leading and more.
