FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It isn't a complicated pricing system, it just depends on the type of job, how much the client is spending as well as any travel time or personal services I must provide. I believe that offering a good price varies on the need of a customer and therfore I don't have a set price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Keeping up with the trends in weddings is a easy but overwhelming task. It is important to know what is hot and what isn't and it's great to have plenty of fresh ideas to give clients. By reading bridal magazines and keeping up with wedding websites I stay current with the information in the wedding industry. When it comes to party planning I tend to look at books with different types of parties in them to get new ideas.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My two older sons share a birthday party because one is born on the 22nd and the other on the 26th. They are 2 years apart in age and I wanted to throw them themed birthday parties so it was always a big event. The first party I threw everyone loved how the decoration was lively and there were activities that went with the theme. The first one I threw was a pirate party and we all dressed up for it. Now everyone looks forward to October not only for Halloween but also for the big themed birthday party. I love it!
