He has been working with my son since July 2015, and in this short time, my son’s skills and core fitness have improved. Coach Alvin's holistic approach...which includes improved diet, keeping a daily log of all activities, weightlifting, increasing flexibility...goes well above and beyond running drills and working out on the track. As a personal trainer, Coach Alvin takes the time to understand the person's capabilities, and he customizes his approach to play up strengths and improve weaknesses. Coach Alvin pushes our son to higher goals with each workout and has been a strong motivational support. I feel blessed that Coach Alvin genuinely cares about my son succeeding, and Coach's energy and enthusiasm is testimony to the passion he feels for the sport.

Latest Review: About 8 years ago Brian walked up to me at the gym where I was working out and told me he had a new class that would start in a few minutes. He didn't know if anyone had heard of it or whether anyone would show up. Would I mind coming in and trying it out? I stayed with him from that first class through his last at that gym. Later, he moved on to pursue his interest in Crossfit. Now, at Crossfit Copely, I'm working out with him again. He's as enthusiastic and creative as ever. His workouts are challenging. He modifies them to meet the needs of the attendees. He's trained several people who've entered competitions. And he's trained people like me who just want to maintain their personal health. I strongly recommend you try a session with Brian. He'll help you improve your physical conditioning . . . and you'll have fun doing it.

Latest Review: My father found Mr. John Drumm through the thumbtack site and purchased me golf lessons for my birthday. John Drumm independently contacted me and set up a convenient time for both of us to meet for a lesson. The day ended up being rainy, cold, and windy. He let me reschedule the lesson at the last minute with no problems at all. He was very accommodating and even let me come to his house for the second lesson where he took me to his personal gym in the basement and we were able to practice in front of a large mirror. I was also impressed with how extensive his personal gym is. It is clear that he is dedicated to his fitness and sports game. John comes from a sports background. He used to play baseball. In teaching the fundamentals of golf grip, stance, posture, and form he makes a lot of analogies to baseball pitching and this brought a whole new understanding to the golf game for me. As he demonstrated for me his pitching form, I gained a greater appreciation for weight transfer, separation of upper and lower body movements, and "the coil" which is essential to a successful golf swing. I really liked how patient and thorough he is with me as a student. John doesn't rush his students into hitting balls at the range. He has a practical approach - assessing the golfer's baseline understanding of the game and building things from the ground up with proper mechanics. On our first lesson, we focused on chipping and putting which really solidified my understanding of the proper grip, stance, posture, and form. Mr Drumm not only showed me the proper form but he also explained the reasons and mechanics behind it. He made the lesson very informative and enjoyable for me and I have already seen big improvements in my swing. At my second lesson, John took pictures of my form and posture and emailed the photos to me so I could continue to analyze and improve my golf game. I am looking forward to more lessons with Mr. Drumm and I certainly recommend him to any other golfers who are seriously interested in improving their game. His approach is practical, efficient, informative, and thorough. John is dedicated to doing things the proper way and I certainly took a lot away from our lesson.

Latest Review: Mr. Eric Sean helped me create a meal plan to assist me with losing up to 50 pounds. He also creates exercise sessions that are different and unpredictable therefore I am not bored with my training sessions. He is very encouraging and positive. I appreciate his words of motivation, calm mannerism and challenges. I believe he internally gets a feel of what you are capable of doing and pushes you to that level. He also assesses how you physically feel the day or so after your session,to make changes to your routine if necessary. Latest Review: I am a beginner when it comes to exercise. I was a bit nervous when i first started, but Travis really made sure that I was not only comfortable with the workouts, but the environment in which the workouts were performed. The gym is clean and has a wide variety of equipment. The classes he offers really gets the blood flowing and the heart pumping, and we all have fun when we do it. I definitely recommend him to anyone, beginner, intermediate, or advanced. He really knows his stuff. Also, to the ladies that are nervous about starting with a new group/gym... there are several ladies (more ladies than men) that work out with Travis and the rest of the group. It is located in a nice neighborhood and the facility is secured during workouts. Also, it is a judgment-free gym so no worries! We all have our strengths and weaknesses, areas that we need improvement... and Travis knows how to find these aspects and implement a workout plan that is not only good for a wide group of people, but good for you as an individual as well. My favorite part is that he will push you to work to failure, then try just one more rep to improve, but he is also big on safety and health. I injured my leg early on because I had the wrong footwear and he recommended a type of shoe to get, and even taught me how to tie my shoes properly (funny, I know). While I healed he did not let me skip a beat -- he had low-to-no impact workout alternatives to what everyone else was doing so you could burn calories, build strength, and not worry about hurting yourself. I recommend him to anyone, really, that is ready to change their lifestyle to being fit and healthy... and to those that want to have fun doing it.
