- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a TIPS training certificate (alcohol awareness and safety). I also have a valid PIC issued by Cuyahoga Department of Health. I research online and also learn from other professionals in my field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't really decide. It sort of came to me when I was only 13 years old. My family belongs to a cultural club and the facility is rented out on the weekends hosting weddings and special events. I was reeled in to help on those weekends. My first jobs were setting up the hall, making homemade rolls, and helping in the kitchen complete whatever task asked of me. Later, at the age of 21 I started working as a bartender. It's been a journey that has steered its own course.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I will answer as if I am being hired to bartend: Develop specific drink menus, execute drinks per standards, promptly and professional serve clients while being curteous.
