Mr. Kerner did a great job! Was a small misunderstanding as to when I was available to pickup the Tax returns but nothing that was a real issue.

Joe was very competent and did a great job with our taxes. He rarely picked up the phone or returned messages. He left us waiting around for 2 hours one night before calling to reschedule. He disagreed with the price quoted on Thumbtack but did honor it.

The end result is very competent and great job with the taxes. This client had more involved that disclosed up-front; so I had more work than I quoted on up front. I did attempt to explain that and bargain an increase in fee; but if the client disagrees, and won't budge, I will demur and go with the quote. Still a challenge and good people to work with. 40 to 75 hours per year... with NATP and NAEA.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a Principal in a regional financial firm and stock broker, I began in the mid-1980s doing tax work with pen & quill at the client's kitchen table.
