My husband and I started a moving company with our 4 sons. We started during the 2020 Pandemic because of the obvious reasons, we needed income because we both lost our jobs. Unaware of the pitfalls of starting a business, we decided to do it on our own. But after 6-months, it was not just the Pandemic that was limiting our revenue, but we were just going through the process of thinking that we knew what we were doing. That was not the case. I was doing research online for freelance business consultants and came across Thumbtack. I put out a request and got 32 people that responded. My husband and I talked to six people and met with 8 others. We decided on one that we paid about $800 for him to work on a marketing campaign. After 2-months it was a disaster and just felt like a waste of money. Then we decided to try again with Thumbtack and eventually came to work with another consultant. His fee was about $2,000 and seemed knowledgeable about the industry and my husband was comfortable with the woman we decided to work with. Somehow, after we paid the deposit, we only heard from her once in 3-weeks, then she became too busy to work with us. This was another failure at having a consultant. Then... We were about to give up, but my son (34YO) did his own research and found a referral for Maine Prince at Prince Management Group on Thumbtack. Jack talked to Maine on the phone for about 2-hours (paid $500), then he met with him in-person (paid $1,000), and eventually my son scheduled a dinner meeting with all of us with Maine Prince to discuss the family business. It was clear he was the one. In every sense that we needed and to really get the business up and running for the upcoming new year. The retainer of $20,000 seemed like a lot for us, but it was well worth it. The value he provided was much about Peace-of-Mind as much as it was about helping us formulate a Business Plan he wrote for us, including a Feasibility Study, Financial Forecasting, Pro Forma, Break-Even Analysis, a Marketing Strategy, and also an Exit Strategy. We talked with Maine daily by phone - text - and email. He always responded promptly and his knowledge was always insightful. It really helped our family get more time together and just as important, Maine focused on guiding us to Generational Wealth. Because as a full-service agency, he handled the Business Management, but also Financial Advising and Wealth Management for the family. In the first quarter, or 90-days in working with Maine Prince, we grossed 300% as projected. Then in the 2nd quarter of working together, we were already at $100k per month while increasing staffing, buying three more box trucks, and yet still averaging a ROI of 500% for our still small business of less than ten employees. We continue to work with Maine because along with business, he's been like family, well a better version of family, because he cares about his clients and he works diligently to achieve success with favorable results. I highly recommend working with Maine Prince!! If you're looking for cheap services, he will not be the guy for you. The pricing I have applied is based on 20+ years of experience, award-winning accomplishments, favorable results, and hands-on approach to working with each client individually. It is guaranteed the cost of professional services will have a double return on investment. I do not discount pricing, this is for professional services as a freelance provider to small business owners and those seeking professional service. "Quality work is not cheap...AND... What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step in working with a new customer is to initiate contact regarding the opportunity. Then we will schedule a time to have a video call. Then I will present a formal presentation before any payment. Once approved, then there is a retainer and then I will begin working on the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a college graduate from Penn State University with a double degree and double minor. Major: Business Administration / Sports Law - Sports Management Minor: Legal Environment of Business / Exercise & Sports Science.
