While the mowing was well done, because of poor communication I ended up paying $125 for a single mow and trim of less than a half acre without bagging. I was looking for an immediate mow and to have a large amount of dirt leveled. I included photos so that the enormity of the project would be clear. When he arrived, he admitted he hadn't looked closely at the photos and was unprepared to attempt the project. I'd have cancelled the mow, but he told me he'd driven an hour and I let my guilt and politeness keep me from saying, 'I'm sorry, but you shouldn't have taken a job this far away and especially not come without the equipment and understanding to tackle the main objective.' I regret allowing him to come out and I really regret paying that much for a mow, which I really couldn't afford and the going rate in my area is closer to $35-40. If you call him, make sure you are actually in his service area and be super clear on anything more complex than mowing. That being said, the mowing was good and he was polite. I just feel like I walked away very much at the wrong end of the deal.
