Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I pay very close attention to detail, not only in the picture I'm drawing, but in the expectations of my customer. Even if what I do looks good to me, it may not look good to the customer, and if that's the case, I'm not happy. My single aim in doing art for others is to make them happy. If I get it wrong, I'll do it over again, free of charge. I will never allow my customer to be dissatisfied with what they pay for. As I've said before, my rates are not a reflection of the quality of my work, they are a reflection of my desire to work. Until I'm flooded with more job requests than I can handle, my prices will be accessible to everyone. I love to see the reaction of my customers after I show them the work. The range between an overjoyed grin and overwhelmed tears just never gets old, and I will always look forward to that moment when I show them the final product. Not only does that make me happy, but it tends to make it easier on them to hand over the money for my services, something that isn't always an easy thing to do. In fact, these days I'm more often tipped because my customers see the worth of what they're getting, and happily hand over an extra chunk of money to let me know I made them happy.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I do a lot of concept art for people who make games and books, as well as a great deal of commissions for people who just want to have a personalized picture, something that reflects their interests that no one else has. I'd like to get into portraits for people, painting wedding portraits or immortalizing someone's house or car in a painting, something along those lines. I enjoy 95% of the work I get, so don't be shy in asking for something you might think is strange.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Know what it is you want, or at least have a set of guidelines I can use to figure it out for you. Be prepared to engage in a conversation so that I know exactly what I'm doing. The less time I spend trying over and over to figure out what it is you want me to draw, the faster and cheaper you'll get your finished product. Also, don't be afraid to say 'I don't like it'. I want you to be satisfied, and I definitely don't want you to pay for a product you're unhappy with. I want you eager to come back to me with future products; I don't want you to give up commissioning artists forever because of a bad product.
