- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private training ranges from $445 to $775. Behavioral Modification package is $875. Board and Train ranges from $1225 to $2495 depending on program. Classes vary in price depending on the length of the class $175 to$200. all prices listed at talkdogtoledo.com
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My initial lesson is about 2 to 3 hours long. I sit down and teach the client how to understand the way a dog thinks and communicates and how as a human we can better communicate in a language that your dog understands. Then we work with the dog(s). I set up a detailed program for the household and have the client to follow through with the training after I leave. After a week or two we get back together and continue on with the training. We build on the lessons that we learned at a previous lesson to make sure that your dog is getting better and that you understand how to practice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I initially was trained by a large franchise training company involving 40 hours book learning-210 practical and classroom learning and then 40 hours case learning. Over the years I am constantly learning about new approaches to training and solving behavioral issues. I have achieved up to Master Trainer certification through this company. Since opening Talk Dog Toledo, I have continued my education by taking courses from Ian Dunbar and a few others to further my education and certifications.
