I've spent the last 7+ years in marketing, everything from running social for a professional soccer club to building full marketing setups for small local businesses like a restaurant, a dental practice, and a gym. What I like about the local side of this work is that it's hands-on: building the website, writing the social content, running the ads, setting up the follow-up emails and texts, the whole thing, not just one piece handed off to different people. I got into this because I like solving a specific business's problem, not running a generic playbook. A restaurant and a dental office don't need the same thing, and I don't treat them like they do.
