How did you get started doing this type of work?
While working as a receptionist at a manufacturing plant I requested additional duties because I was bored. I was asked to run a ten key and complete a progress report to support the manfacturing quotas. It wasn't long before I began to see ways to improve the reporting process and in this discovered I have a knack for numbers and thus the 'nerd' was born.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Recording financial data to general ledger, providing payroll services, building specialized reports, and working with a company's CPA. New businesses can rest assured I have the knowlege and experience to set up their company from zero to go. It is important to start at the beginning and not in the middle.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask a potential provider to show a sample of their skills using YOUR financial data. Review the results closely, ask questions and if the answers you receive are not clear or there appears to be errors keep shopping.
