I had been impressed with Marissa's work after she did my younger sister's graduation pictures. This year when I was looking for a photographer for my wedding she came to mind. I was looking for someone with a good eye that wasn't charging an arm and a leg. Marissa was perfect! She photographed the rehearsal, wedding and reception as well as the getting ready pictures. She got all the shots I requested and some beautiful moments I didn't even think of, like my sister lacing up my dress. She showed up early, was open to direction and got the pictures to me in good time! I love the pictures, and the small moments she captured. Marissa hadn't previously done a wedding but that doesn't show in her work! I would recommend Marissa's photography and will use her again when I need a professional and talented photographer!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associates degree in photography I worked 2 years at the Jcp portrait studio
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mother to put it quite simply. After graduation I had no idea what I wanted to do. I loved theatre with all of my heart (still do) and was set to have that as my associates degree. If it hadn't been for my mother who was sitting in the admissions office with me suggesting that I take my first photography class I probably never would have discovered my love.
