FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
What brides need to understand about flowers and the pricing that goes into them is how they are packaged. In order for any florist to give you a good, realistic bid then we must have a clear picture of what it is you are wanting for your wedding from beginning to end. We can get price breaks when larger quantities are ordered and we can also guide you as to what will save you money but still give you a stunning look. Roses for instance during can be really expensive during Valentines Day but as a wedding flower it's one of your best values! Knowing what you want and the designs you like will help us be able to give you the bid you need. Then we can work to adjust the numbers up or down to fit things into your budget. I'm extremely flexible and will work with my brides to find a design to fit within their budget that gives them their look with flowers that they might have never known existed! We can work together to bring your vision to life!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out as much detailed information upfront as possible. Internet has taken the personal aspect out of this business and everyone wants to know dollar figures immediately. The issue with that and what I do is that I can't give you accurate figures without getting to know the details of your wedding. Flowers are very much a detailed item and you need to be able to be discuss the various types of flowers and styles of bouquets, amounts and what all will be need to determine the pricing. As a coordinator I like to find out what exactly you need from start to finish so I don't charge you for a service you don't need. I am not typical because I don't book more than one wedding per weekend and I don't have set prices. That might make it require more conversation upfront but in the end I guarantee you that I will know exactly what it is you want for your wedding day and I don't believe in giving brides a lowball price to get them in the door to change it later. I'm very good at what I do or I wouldn't have been doing it this long. I love what I do as well, that's the key! So ask yourself if you are certain about someone who can just send you back a bid without knowing the details of your day vs someone who wants to take the time to get to know them first. We get very limited information sent to us and that's not enough to work with.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our education is based on trends that are guided by the market. We have educational opportunities through various wholesale floral houses and vendors a couple times a year.
