Our garage remodel with Ridgeway Development Group definitely came with its fair share of challenges. What was originally supposed to be a 4-day project ended up taking approximately 5 weeks due to mistakes made by the crew that required additional work and corrections.

There was quite a bit of back and forth throughout the process, and I won’t pretend it wasn’t frustrating at times. When you’re investing your hard-earned money into improving your home, you naturally expect the work to be done correctly and within the agreed-upon timeframe.

However, I want to specifically recognize Caden, the owner of Ridgeway Development Group, for his commitment to making things right. Despite the mistakes made by his crew, Caden personally stayed involved, listened to our concerns, and made sure the necessary corrections were completed properly. Rather than making excuses or walking away from a difficult situation, he took responsibility for seeing the project through.

I believe the true character of a business owner isn’t necessarily measured by whether everything goes perfectly, but by how they respond when things go wrong. In this case, Caden demonstrated accountability, patience, and a genuine willingness to stand behind his company’s work.

Would I have preferred the project to be completed correctly within the original 4 days? Absolutely. Having a 4-day project turn into a 5-week process was frustrating and certainly not what we anticipated. The crew’s attention to detail and overall execution could have been better, and hopefully those are areas the company continues to improve.

That being said, I also believe in giving credit where it’s deserved. Caden didn’t abandon the project when things became complicated. He remained committed to resolving the issues and ensuring we were satisfied with the corrections.

Overall, while the process was far from perfect, I genuinely appreciate Caden’s integrity, professionalism, and dedication to making things right. The workmanship issues and delays were disappointing, but his willingness to take ownership of the situation speaks volumes about him as a business owner.

At the end of the day, mistakes can happen in any business. What matters most is whether someone is willing to stand behind their work, and Caden demonstrated that he was.

We had RDG handle the kitchen remodel at the Mansion at Waterford and couldn’t have asked for a better experience from a contractor. They were very responsive and helped us manage the moving parts of inspections and kitchen placement in the community while the kitchen was out of service. Cayden followed up promptly to post project completion requests and had had his team resolve any issues we had quickly.
