FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees for my services are based on the type of case, the number of cases, and the location of the cases. I provide discounts when the fee for legal services is paid in full upfront. However, I do offer my clients the ability, within reason, to make payments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My preference is to meet with anyone interested in hiring me as his or her attorney. I want the potential client to get to know me, my personality, and ensure I understand the facts surrounding the legal issue/need. At the same time, I like to meet the potential client and make certain he or she understands the law and the upcoming procedure. My belief is that my honest and straight-forward, yet personal, approach is what most clients want in an attorney.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my JD from the Oklahoma City University School of Law and have been licensed to practice law in Oklahoma since 2007. I begin my career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Office of the District Attorney in Oklahoma County. In 2014, I begin serving as the General Counsel (chief legal counsel) for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Between both jobs described above, I had a unique opportunity to see both sides of the criminal justice system (the pre-trial and trial state along with the post-sentencing prison and probation side). I also served on the Legislative Committee for the District Attorneys Council and worked on legislation being proposed by, and that would impact, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections - most of it was related to criminal justice reform.
