Introduction: I kickstarted my love for photography in the darkroom with a 35mm. With film you didn’t have an unlimited memory card or an immediate review of your photos. Developing my own film and prints taught me to be patient, look for the best lighting, and wait for the perfect shot. I was accepted into the School of Art at Ohio University as a freshman and was excited to continue my journey with a greater focus in digital photography. Without a computer or DSLR camera I wasn’t quite sure how I’d get there. My grandma gifted me with the OU required MacBook for my graduation gift. Then, my 16 year old brother Kendal surprised me with a Nikon D5100 with a full kit. Mind you, this was 10 years ago, so it was a huge purchase from my younger brother. Their contributions allowed my continued growth. Determined to minimize my college debt, I joined the US Navy. A lot of life, lessons, and traveling have been accomplished in the last 10 years. I’ve upgraded my camera and my equipment and I am ready to capture life’s most candid moments. A lot of soul searching has led me to what truly makes me happy in life: I’m the one smiling behind the camera and capturing what is most important to YOU!🌻 “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
