I attended a wedding these guys where the dj. When we came in to reception hall there was no music playing. I walked over to ask why, I found two guys with their big belt buckles and muddy boots. I was like you gotta be kidding me ! There is such a thing as nice looking and CLEAN western wear. At a wedding you should dress as least as good as most of the guest if not better, I suggest a tie I wore one! Anyway I asked about no music lightly playing and they said they were told to make a big deal about the bride and groom coming in so they would start music after they arrived. They had to ask me the name of the couple and the relationship of th person who booked them,( seriously ? Don't you get all the info when you set up a event? ). They had some pretty decent lights set up but had the fluorescents above the dance floor on so it didn't look that cool. The bride and groom finally arrived came in and then were anouced. And finally they started to play some tunes but left the flouresent lights on still. After a few songs one of the guys finally deciced it would be good to dim the house lights ahh much better. As for the sound it was some old peavy speakers mediocre hardly "crystal" clear but ok. Dj skills ? Uhh I think a iTunes play list would be just a good I couldn't tell that any actuall mixing was going on. The lights were the best thing they had going for them they could probly tweak them to look better than they did though. Overall I couldn't recommend these guys they just didn't seem professional. They claim to be cheaper than most other dj services so I guess you get what you pay for. If your looking for someone to just play a few tunes and has some decent lights for cheap this may be your service. Me I want better service and sound quality so I guess I'll pay a bit more.
