FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I kind of fell into web design. I went to SUNY Geneseo for my Communications degree and when I moved to Kansas City I began working in the Internal Communications Department of H&R Block. I did a lot of website updating and, when I moved to a local real estate company, I had the opportunity to learn how to build the sites myself. As my career grew, so did my experience, and I was able to focus on building my own business from what I learned.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do a lot of website design and logo design. Website design is my favorite aspect of my job because it allows me to use my whole brain - thinking analytically and making the site work and then being creative and making it come to life.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I love the website I did at www.tulsawomensrugby.com. I've played rugby since college and it's a huge passion of mine, so spending my time building a site that's turned into a recruiting tool has been a lot of fun.
