Unfortunately, my experience with Christian Murillo was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
We agreed on a $250 photoshoot, which I paid him in full, in cash, on the day of the shoot (July 9, 2025). That payment was acknowledged by him in writing on the invoice. Prior to the shoot, I made my expectations clear: I only needed 10–15 photos per vehicle, and we agreed the entire shoot would take about an hour. There was no written contract, no agreement to additional charges, and no request during the shoot to extend time or rates.
After the shoot, Christian refused to deliver the photos unless I paid him more money - sending not one, but two different invoices for additional amounts he never disclosed beforehand. This kind of bait-and-switch behavior is not only unprofessional, but it shows a serious lack of integrity in how he conducts business.
Despite all of this, I remained respectful and professional. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, communicated clearly, and even sent a formal written request giving him a deadline to simply deliver the photos he had already been paid for. He refused.
I did consider pursuing legal action to recover what I had rightfully paid for. But after prayer and reflection, I’ve chosen to release it. I trust that truth and integrity always surface in time - and that this situation will find its resolution in ways greater than anything a courtroom could deliver.
This review is my honest and complete account of what happened. If you’re looking for someone who is transparent, professional, and honors their word - I encourage you to look elsewhere.

Damian, we agreed on an hourly rate of $250/hour, not $250 for the whole shoot, which lasted longer than one hour. I only deliver photos upon complete payment (industry standard), which I have not received. I am very eager to provide your photos, as they turned out great and I am always excited to make my clients happy when I deliver a product and service that exceeds their expectations. Unfortunately, I cannot work for free or for half of my time and expenses. I hope to be able to provide the photos to help boost your business, but unfortunately, you hold all the cards here. I have only adjusted the amounts of the invoices I have sent to compromise as much as I possibly can to make this work.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing for photoshoots is fixed on an hourly rate. For the fairness to each my clients, we do not offer discounts. We are happy to work with our clients to find different ways to keep a photoshoot within their budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After becoming acquainted with the client, we will ask a series of questions to identify the specific needs of the client to ensure the highest quality service possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working professionally as a photographer for two years, although I worked occasionally as an amateur for over 10 years. I learned film and digital photography in a formal class setting, but am mostly self-taught.
